Features & Benefits
Features & Benefits
Estimates suggest that a third of the population deals either with a significantly negative behavior like overeating or an addiction, but only a small fraction of people actually seek help due to a number of barriers including access, cost, time and motivation. Partnering with you, we want to dramatically increase rates of recovery and healthy living for more people by helping them to overcome their negative behavior and addictions more quickly. The following represent the therapist services we have built to help your practice:
- Data sharing – We expect most of our users will want to share daily accountability check-in data with you so they can get your insight into their patterns of living. In the future, we also expect to build capabilities for patient data to be easily ingested by therapy and enterprise electronic medical record systems.
- Patient reporting – If your patients authorize your access, we will give you one single location to see groups of patient data.
- Therapist Directory – While other therapist directories exist we haven't seen an effective review system tied to listings. If we do this right, patients will be able to use smart search filters to find the best therapy. Our long term vision is that the results of your patients can be generalized and displayed on your profile. We believe in outcomes driven medicine and we think attention to results is good for the entire industry. We hope this will be a source of new patients for you.

Therapy Challenges
User Reported Therapy Challenges
While not comprehensive, our users have reported some of the following therapy challenges which we are seeking to address with Take24 solutions and in partnership with you.
Therapy sessions are inefficient
Users report that much of their therapy sessions are spent sifting through past events or chit chatting, leaving less time for therapy. With access to daily user check-ins, therapists can now pinpoint with clarity the moments of weakness by time of day or day of week before the session starts leaving more time to go deep clinically.
Therapy is expensive
Users want more results for their money. If they don’t see results, some will prematurely quit leaving a hole in one of your groups and likely leaving themselves vulnerable to returning to their cycles of addiction and negative behavior. This is a bit of a travesty.
While your time is worth a lot, we can’t make more of it, nor are most patients able to pay for more therapy, but software is a cost effective partner with the potential to deliver more value to your patients every few hours as they process their stuff using your clinical principles, models, and frameworks.
Therapy doesn’t provide enough value
Per service level agreements with your patients, you and your group of patients can choose to receive smart alerts when a user checks in below a certain threshold suggesting that they need help. This gives you the chance to provide help time effectively when your patients need it most.
Progress is hard to see
There are two things likely going on with patients who think this. First, patients don’t understand the course of therapy that will get them from here to their end goal. Second, most therapy doesn’t include reports for patients to see their progress. In fact, many therapist offices don’t have patient IT solutions for tracking patient therapy.
With access to their check-in data, patients can now see actual measures of their recovery week over week, and month over month. This becomes powerful evidence of their personal efforts or lack thereof toward recovery. They are in charge of making changes and our reports give them mile markers to see therapy in action.
Therapists don’t define when I’ll be better
Patients who receive therapy desperately want to know when they will be ‘better,’ but many therapists struggle to define this themselves and as a result, some patients feel like therapy is being drug out unnecessarily. Is there a number of days since a relapse that defines my recovery? Is there a certain amount of education or program activities that define a program? How will I know when I am healed?
While therapists may have guidance to answer these questions, we are certain there is a better way and in collaboration with you, we are building a patient-focused care plan. This tool allows patients to define the quantifiable measures of their recovery along with your input and then to track it in our system. Perhaps six months of check-ins above an 8 are the mark of success. With a care plan, control shifts to patients to define and achieve their own recovery.
Under this scenario, no longer should patients live in a middle ground where a therapist or program defines their therapy care plans. This patient-focused care plan will likely result in active effort by patients to keep their commitments. And with a defined end goal in mind, partners of a person also have a measurable target. We think a patient-focused care plan will drive a powerful paradigm shift in behavioral health therapy.
I finished the program and now I’m disconnected
At some point, your patients will get better and what do you do with them? You let them go. You lose touch. They stop paying and their therapy ends. This is an unfortunate reality but there is a better way. We think these users should have an emeritus status of sorts and may even deserve to get a financial benefit for their expertise ‘giving back’ to those who need help. That may mean they work with a patient group as a mentor, assisting in weekly meetings or they may reach out to others within your group who need an outside intervention. And even though they may have finished a therapy program, they will benefit from ongoing support and connections with others in a cost effective way for years to come. In non-profit groups, some of these graduates stick with weekly meetings for 20+ years often becoming volunteer leaders helping to heal a world of people fighting their individual problems. We want these people. So do you.
The first step to using Take24 is to tell us about yourself so we can follow up.

Powerful Reporting
Powerful Reporting
Observation and measurement are two powerful psychological motivators that will positively improve behavior. What is measured can be improved which is why we are so adamant about providing powerful reporting. The following basic reporting is available today on a per patient basis. This data is secure and private to users and those they designate. The following are key measures provided today:
- Average check-in week over week – Perhaps every Wednesday a patient’s
- Average check-in by time of day – Healthy structure is required to be successful. Perhaps evenings are problem areas for a given patient. You may very well recommend may then be for a patient to go to bed early and
- Percent compliant with check-ins – A patient not working the program will fail
- Percentage of safe (8-10) or dangerous (1-7) check-ins
- Relapses
- Days since last relapse
With the day-by-day data in hand, you can quickly pinpoint problem areas to focus on during your next session and the trend reports give a sense of progress over time. The result will be sessions where you can begin by saying, “I reviewed your 30 check-ins this last week and I see that you are challenged 3 days after our sessions in the late evening. What happens then?” Your patient may very well volunteer that it is the night that he has to stay up late finishing a weekly work report due the next day. On occasion he gets distracted from his work and he does stuff he shouldn’t. You might very well then suggest to your patient that he make a check-in call to a peer, or perhaps he asks his wife to stay up with him while he works or perhaps even, he goes to his employer and asks for an adjustment in the report due date. All are options, but the insight is hard to get to because the pattern is difficult to see in today’s practice of therapy without data-driven insight.
